Rylee Venn, DO Joins Prairie Clinic

Sauk Prairie Healthcare announces the addition of Rylee Venn, DO, at Prairie Clinic this month.

“We are so excited to welcome Dr. Rylee Venn to the team,” said Family Medicine Physician Dr. Mary Campbell. “With her family medicine and obstetrics training, she brings a broad medical knowledge base and strong procedural skills to our community. I am confident that she will provide outstanding care to patients of all ages.”

Dr. Venn is a Family Medicine Physician who provides care for patients of all ages, from newborns to older adults. She has a special interest in women's health and obstetrics and has completed advanced fellowship training that enables her to provide comprehensive pregnancy care, labor and delivery services, and cesarean sections.

Her professional interests also include mental health, preventive care, chronic disease management, and a variety of in-office procedures.

Originally from Grayslake, Ill., Dr. Venn earned her bachelor's degree in Philosophy of Social Justice, with minors in Biology and Bioethics, from Loyola University Chicago before obtaining her medical degree from the Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine. She completed her Family Medicine residency at the Waukesha Family Medicine Residency Program at ProHealth Care, where she received comprehensive training in outpatient care, inpatient medicine, newborn care, addiction medicine, osteopathic medicine, and high-volume obstetrics.

Following residency, Dr. Venn completed a surgical obstetrics fellowship at Altru Hospital in Grand Forks, North Dakota. There, she received advanced training in high-risk obstetrics and cesarean delivery, expanding her ability to provide continuity of care throughout pregnancy, labor, delivery, and beyond.

"I was drawn to Family Medicine because it allows me to build long-term relationships with patients and care for them through many stages of life," said Dr. Venn. "That continuity is especially meaningful in obstetrics. I wanted the additional training necessary to continue caring for my patients throughout pregnancy, labor, and delivery, including situations that may require a cesarean section. Being able to stay with patients through those important moments and then continue caring for them and their families afterward is incredibly rewarding.”

Throughout her training, Dr. Venn developed a strong appreciation for caring for patients from diverse backgrounds and circumstances. Her volunteer work in free clinics reinforced the importance of understanding the real-life barriers patients face when accessing care.

"Every patient has a unique story," she said. "Taking the time to understand what is happening in their lives helps us create practical, sustainable care plans together. I want patients to feel heard, respected, and empowered in their healthcare decisions."

Dr. Venn was drawn to Sauk Prairie Healthcare because of its independent, community-focused approach, and the opportunity to build meaningful relationships with patients.
