Double 5 Star Rating Earned by Sauk Prairie Hospital

Once again, Sauk Prairie Hospital has received five-star ratings by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) for both Overall Quality and Patient Experience. Sauk Prairie Hospital is one of only seven hospitals in Wisconsin to receive a double five-star rating.

The Overall Quality rating is based on various quality measures across five areas and data hospitals report through CMS programs. The rating helps consumers compare hospitals nationally by summarizing their performance into a single, easy-to-understand star rating. The Patient Experience rating is based on Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (HCAHPS) survey responses. This survey measures patients’ perspectives on hospital care, summarizing 10 key aspects of the patient experience into a single star rating.
