Sauk Prairie Healthcare announces the addition of Noah Maerz, MD to Lodi Clinic. Dr. Maerz is a Family Medicine physician able to care for patients of all ages.
A native of Dane and a graduate of Lodi High School, Dr. Maerz is eager to provide care locally and continue the relationships he has built in the community.
“I’m looking forward to giving back to the community that raised me,” said Dr. Maerz. “That’s why I wanted to go back to my hometown and Sauk Prairie Healthcare to practice.”
“We're excited to welcome Dr. Maerz to our primary care team. As a Lodi native, he understands this community and the values that make it special,” said Dr. David Krey, a Family Medicine and Sports Medicine physician at Lodi Clinic.
Dr. Maerz earned his medical degree from the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health and was also accepted into the Wisconsin Academy for Rural Medicine. This program is focused on training medical students to provide care in rural settings, ultimately addressing the shortage of physicians in those areas. He completed his residency in family medicine through the University of Wisconsin Department of Family Medicine and Community Health.
Dr. Maerz says his involvement in the Wisconsin Academy for Rural Medicine has played an important role in his training as a physician.
“Practicing in a rural setting, I can truly get involved in the community and be someone that people know outside the clinic,” he said. “One of my favorite things about family medicine is the ability to make long-term connections with my patients.”
Dr. Maerz and Dr. Krey agree that healthcare access in rural communities is so important, and the addition of Dr. Maerz to Lodi Clinic will improve availability to care in that area.
“Dr. Maerz allows us to improve access for patients while continuing to provide the high-quality, relationship-centered care our community deserves,” said Dr. Krey.
“It’s so important to have quality healthcare in rural communities, so patients don’t have to travel for an hour to get the care they need,” added Dr. Maerz.
“Dr. Maerz’s clinical skills, compassion, and commitment to serving others make him an outstanding fit for Sauk Prairie Healthcare,” concluded Dr. Krey.
Dr. Maerz will begin seeing patients in late August at Lodi Clinic, joining primary care providers Dr. Melissa Faubert, Dr. David Krey, Dr. Rian Podein, Dr. Andrea Chao, Deanna Lord, PA-C, Karen Meng, APNP, and Andrew Padley, DNP-FNP.
