Dan Muxfeld - Waunakee

Dan grew up in Illinois, but escaped to Wisconsin to attend school at the University of Wisconsin- Oshkosh. UW-O was where he met his wife, Joyce. They moved to the Waunakee area in the mid-1980s.

Dan has always worked in business or fund development. He and Joyce founded Alpha Advertising - a Middleton advertising agency. Dan focused on business development while Joyce managed a staff of six. After selling the company in 2003, Dan worked in fund development with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Dane County, United Way of Dane County, Dean Foundation, and Journey Mental Health Center.

While at Journey, Dan brought Mental Health First Aid training to Wisconsin. Mental Health First Aiders help people get early access to mental health care, substantially improving their chances of recovery. Dan taught Mental Health First Aid for ten years including several classes for Sauk Prairie Healthcare Foundation.

Now retired, Dan enjoys bicycling, cross-country skiing, theater, and reading.
