Community Health

One of Sauk Prairie Healthcare’s strategic goals is to improve the community’s health.  We get involved in the larger issues that impact our families and neighborhoods — the challenges our kids and teenagers face, the availability of nutrition and fitness resources, problems like addiction and obesity.  We work to impact the health and lives of residents by collaborating to address the health needs in the communities we serve.

In fact, in 2012, we provided more than $3.4 million in programs and services to improve the community’s health.  Our efforts included education, such as classes about childbirth, breastfeeding, CPR, diabetes, nutrition and weight management.  We also provide exercise opportunities, grants to community groups, Mobile Meals, health fairs, drug collection, support groups, and free lab and X-ray services for patients of the Good Neighbor Clinic.
