Our Best Shot

Vaccinate to Get Back to What You Love

Together, we can increase our protection against the COVID-19 virus. By increasing the vaccination rate in our communities, we will get closer to how life was before the pandemic began.

“Our Best Shot” is a public safety campaign that helps debunk vaccine myths, highlights trusted voices in the community, and encourages residents to get vaccinated and become advocates.

They were tested on tens of thousands of volunteers from a wide variety of backgrounds before becoming available to the public. We can have confidence in their safety.
  • Vaccines are vital to slowing the spread — The vaccines available in the U.S. are vitally important in slowing the spread of an extremely contagious disease. • Pregnancy and COVID19 — It is recommended that pregnant and recently pregnant people get the COVID19 vaccine. Pregnant and recently pregnant people are more likely to get severely ill with COVID19 compared with non-pregnant people.
  • Pfizer has full approval for its vaccine — The U.S. FDA (Food & Drug Administration) has granted full approval of the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID19 vaccine. Remember, children 5 years and older can get this vaccination.

If you have concerns or believe you don’t need to get the COVID19 vaccination, we encourage you to speak to a healthcare professional.

Do I Need the COVID-19 Vaccine if I’ve Already Had the Virus?

One common falsehood is that if you have already had the COVID-19 virus, then there is no need to get vaccinated, because you’re protected from previous exposure.
