For your convenience, Sauk Prairie Healthcare offers walk-in care for those times when your primary clinic is closed. Patients who need immediate but non life-threatening medical attention can come to Urgent Care during evening and weekend hours for illnesses or problems such as earaches, sore throats, cold and flu symptoms, simple bladder infections, sprains, minor cuts, scrapes and bruises.

Seek Emergency Care for serious conditions including:

  • Chest pain, heart attack
  • Difficulty breathing
  • Severe bleeding or head trauma
  • Loss of consciousness
  • Sudden loss of vision or blurred vision
  • Seizure
  • Poisoning
  • Life or limb threatening injury
  • Major broken bones and dislocations
  • Signs of stroke such as slurred speech, difficulty swallowing, weakness/numbness on one side of face/body
  • Allergic reactions (life-threatening)

Urgent Care is appropriate for:

  • Minor burns or injuries
  • Sprains and strains, minor broken bones
  • Coughs, colds, and sore throats
  • Ear infections
  • Allergic reactions (non life-threatening)
  • Fever or flu-like symptoms
  • Rash or other skin irritations
  • Mild asthma
  • Animal and insect bites
  • Urinary tract infections
