Who will care for me during my hospital stay?

New moms and their babies are cared for by their obstetrician/gynecologist and/or primary care physician. Other adult patients who are hospitalized at Sauk Prairie Healthcare benefit from the services of a hospital medicine specialist, also known as a hospitalist. While working in close contact with each patient’s primary care provider, this team of internal medicine physicians manage each patient’s care throughout the course of their inpatient hospital stay.

Who do I contact for my follow up questions?

A key element of our hospitalist program is the collaboration and communication between the hospitalist and your doctor. Any questions about your follow up care can be directed to your primary care provider.
