  • Press Ganey Associates 2016 Guardian of Excellence Award Clinic Patient Experience
  • Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) Five-stars

Sauk Prairie Healthcare received the Press Ganey Associates 2016 Guardian of Excellence Award. This is the third time Sauk Prairie Healthcare has received the recognition. The Guardian of Excellence Award recognizes top-performing facilities that consistently achieved the 95th percentile of performance in Patient Experience.

The Press Ganey Guardian of Excellence Award is a nationally recognized symbol of achievement in health care. Presented annually, the award honors clients who consistently sustained performance in the top 5% of all Press Ganey clients for each reporting period during the course of one year.

"We are proud to partner with Sauk Prairie Healthcare,” said Patrick T. Ryan, CEO of Press Ganey. “This award is a testament to the organization’s leadership in delivering patient-centered care. By achieving and sustaining this level of excellence, Sauk Prairie Healthcare continues to demonstrate their commitment to reducing patient suffering and advancing the overall quality of health care.”

Sauk Prairie Hospital has received a five-star rating from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). Sauk Prairie Hospital is one of only six hospitals in Wisconsin to receive a five-star rating. Only 112 hospitals across the country received five-stars.

The ratings are based on performance in more than 60 measures selected from the hospital inpatient and outpatient quality reporting programs, which include mortality, safety, readmissions, patient experience, timeliness and effectiveness of care and imaging efficiency.

“Quality and patient safety are our highest priority and we appreciate being recognized for that work,” said Larry Schroeder, Sauk Prairie Healthcare CEO. “I’m extremely proud of the outstanding care our doctors and staff provide every day.”
